I’m from San Diego originally but moved up to Northern California when I was 18 and I’m still here. I spent summers since I was a kid working on my family’s dairy farm in Wisconsin and now I own a ranch on the Northern California coast that I’ve spent a lot of time restoring. It was an old homestead in a super prime location where the folks planted trees before they built the house. Before this, I had a corporate marketing career and I left it to buy the place and build an off-grid life. I’ve been documenting the work ever since.

I’m also a volunteer firefighter/engineer and run fire operations for a couple of large music festivals in the region. We have the second largest district in the region and we’re what’s known as a low volume, high risk department. Vehicles over the embankment, plane crashes, structure fires, etc.

My specialty is doing real work and explaining it clearly. Not a pro builder, not a beginner. Somewhere in the middle, which is where most people actually live. I enjoy showing the different projects as I do them on my ranch. Developing the water system, milling lumber, anything outdoors.

Favorite Invader Concepts product has to be the Recon Chest Holster. That NEVER leaves my chest and is one of the best built pieces of hardware I own. You can also always catch me with an EDC belt on. Invader Concepts fan for life.
